Peachtree MG Fall Mountain Tour XXXIV
The 34th Peachtree MG Registry Fall Tour will be October 13-15, 2026. The end point of our tour is Huntsville, AL - a new destination for this activity! As with most Fall Tour destinations, the town has nice shops, restaurants, and many other fun things to do. And it is particularly interesting if you are into space and rocket exhibits and memorabilia. Now that most of us are retired, the dates were selected to give us the best room rates and minimize traffic.
We are staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown Huntsville. The booking link is: https://group.hamptoninn.com/qias8y. You can also make reservations by dialing 256-270-9120, dialing 2 for reservations and follow the prompts. Let the reservation agent know that you are with the Peachtree MG Fall Tour. The room rate is $149/night plus all the crazy taxes and fees. This is a great rate, but note that there is also an $18/night parking fee. The hotel will provide a private meeting room for us to gather in the evenings to tell bad jokes, embellish old stories and, if we are lucky, maybe Theresa will play her guitar and sing a few tunes for us. A typical Hampton Inn breakfast is included. To cancel, you must call the hotel at least 48 hours in advance. The reservation cutoff date is September 14, 2026!
As usual, the first day, October 13, will be spent traveling to our destination. We will meet/start at a place to be determined on the north side of Atlanta and pick up folks along the way. I will work on the route during the summer. There are a number of very nice roads we can take to Huntsville.
The second day you are on your own; exploring shops, museums, the space center or participating in a town beer crawl that has become a tradition for several of us. I will arrange for a group dinner each night of our stay. The third day we travel home (or other destinations) either individually or in small groups. If any attendees want to organize an activity for the group while we are in Huntsville, please let me know.
